CM-Tech Racing

CM-Tech Racing is a sim-racing team, founded in 2015 by Wopke Hoekstra.

The story of CM-Tech goes a few years back, even though the team was only founded in 2015. As you may, or may not, have guessed, CM stands for Cookie Monster - which explains the cookie in our logo as well.

Back in 2013, Hoekstra was participating in a league which is now disbanded, called GRC. Since he was unable to find a seat, he thought he could just as well make his own team. He had no clue on what name to use, but then he came across a crazy, hungry blue creature. He then decided to create Cookie Monster Racing. The car was not really professional at all but Hoekstra got a big love for Cookie Monster during that period.

The team is has had a revival - although it will be a lot more professional this time. That's why Hoekstra chose for the name of CM-Tech instead of Cookie Monster, because it's just that little bit more professional.

In the following years, the team have already gathered 3 drivers' championships and is still aiming to achieve more.
